The Family Run – Powered by Rompetrol is a fun family sporting event organized by ASOCIAȚIA SPORTIVĂ SANASPORT CONSTANȚA, in collaboration with Asociația Club Sportiv ULTRARUN Constanța and Asociația DĂRUIEȘTE ARIPI Constanța.
This race aims to promote physical activity and outdoor sports, as well as to support Asociația Dăruiește Aripi in implementing its charitable projects.
Family Run – Powered by Rompetrol will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, between 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
Start/Finish line: ZOOM Beach, Constanța.
The Organizer reserves the right to change the route, hydration points, or any other element of the event setup as needed. The Organizer may also change the date or start times of the event without compensating participants.
3.1. REGISTRATION
Participants must register online only on the official website: www.maratonulnisipului.ro, subject to availability and within the deadline announced on the site.
No on-site registration will be available. Incomplete registrations will be canceled.
Important: No registrations will be accepted on race day at the starting area.
3.2. PARTICIPATION FEE
Participation in the Family Run – Powered by Rompetrol is free of charge, but registration must be completed online at www.maratonulnisipului.ro by May 15, 2025.
Only an adult team member may register a team by completing the registration form and the liability waiver.
Registration on behalf of absent participants is not allowed, and race kits can only be picked up by the team leader.
The team will bear the last name of the person completing the registration (e.g., 001 POPESCU).
3.3. PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS
Each team must include at least one child under 14 and one parent. Teams may consist of up to 5 members.
During the race, all team members must stay within 2 meters of each other; failure to do so will result in disqualification.
All participants must:
- Be in good physical and medical condition to participate.
- Children must be between 5 and 14 years old by May 17, 2025.
- Adult participants assume full responsibility for their own and their team’s health and safety.
Organizers disclaim any responsibility for medical issues during or after the event.
To pick up race kits, participants must present a valid ID: ID card for adults and birth certificate for minors (documents will be checked and returned).
3.4. PARTICIPATION KIT
Each team will receive:
- Official race T-shirt
- Finisher medal
- Race number
- Raffle ticket
Only adults can pick up the race kit, after submitting the online liability waiver regarding their child’s participation.
3.5. AVAILABLE SPOTS
- Maximum 300 teams can participate.
The Family Run – Powered by Rompetrol is a team race with a total route of 1 km.
4.1. SPECIAL RULES
- Only the parent/guardian may register and pick up the race number.
- Wearing the official T-shirt and visible race number (on the front) during the race is mandatory.
- No external assistance (e.g., food, drinks) is allowed except at official hydration points.
- The person who completes the online registration must also fill out the emailed liability waiver before the event.
4.2. RACE GEAR
Race T-shirts and numbers are provided by the organizers.
4.3. BAG STORAGE
Each participant will receive a bag and labels in their kit.
Bags can be dropped off in a designated, guarded area and will only be returned upon presentation of the matching race number.
Please do not leave valuables in the storage bags. Organizers are not responsible for lost or damaged items.
4.4. TIMING
Participants will not be timed with chips.
This is a non-competitive race that promotes running as a mass participation sport.
4.5. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
Medical assistance will be provided on-site by professional medical staff. An ambulance will be stationed at the Start/Finish area.
4.6 LIABILITY & CONDUCT
Parents/guardians/coaches are solely responsible for the fitness and safety of the minors in their care.
Organizers and partners are not liable for:
- Loss or damage of personal belongings
- Any physical harm, injury, or death during or after the event.
- Technical issues on the website or registration platform.
Participants must:
- Respect traffic laws and event rules.
- Be cautious of vehicles, tourists, or animals on the route.
- Refrain from littering—use designated disposal areas only.
- Show respectful, fair play behavior.
Participation under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly forbidden.
Organizers reserve the right to remove anyone posing a risk to the event or others.
There will be no rankings or official results.
Each participant receives a raffle ticket in their kit and can enter the prize raffle during the event.

By registering, all parents/guardians/coaches grant the Organizer and partners the right to use any image or statement featuring participants for communication, promotional, or advertising purposes (including photo/video recording).
This consent:
- Covers all media and formats, current or future.
- Lasts up to 20 years from the date of the event.
- Allows image editing or integration into promotional materials.
Consent is granted on condition that no harm is done to minors’ best interests. Images cannot be used in any pornographic, racist, or harmful context.
Parents/guardians understand and accept that participant photos may appear on the event website and may be identifiable by name or race number.
The Organizer reserves the right to change routes, hydration points, or other event details.
If the event must be canceled or postponed due to factors beyond the Organizer’s control (e.g., government decisions, emergencies, strikes, war, epidemics), no compensation will be provided.
