REGULATIONS – “CHAMPIONS OF THE SCHOOL”

“Champions of the School” powered by Celco is a fun sports competition organized by Asociația Sportivă Sanasport Constanța and Asociația Club Sportiv Ultrarun Constanța, in collaboration with the Constanța County School Inspectorate, the County Directorate for Sport and Youth, and the City Hall of Constanța.

This race aims to promote outdoor physical activity and sports among children and adolescents in the school environment.

Champions of the School powered by Celco will take place on Saturday, May 17, 2025, between 09:00 and 12:00.
The Start/Finish point is located at ZOOM Beach, in Constanța. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the course, hydration points, or any other element of the event whenever necessary.
The Organizer also reserves the right to change the event date or start times at any moment, without owing compensation to the participants.

3.1. REGISTRATION

Registration for all race categories is done online only at the official website: www.maratonulnisipului.ro, within the available spots and by the deadline listed on the site.
No on-site registrations will be accepted. Incomplete registrations (missing data) will be canceled.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Registrations will NOT be available at the Start area on race day.

 

3.2.  PARTICIPATION FEE

Participation in CHAMPIONS OF THE SCHOOL powered by Celco is free of charge and can be done exclusively online on the official website until May 15, 2025.



3.3. PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS 

The CHAMPIONS OF THE SCHOOL powered by Celco race is open to individual children or teens aged 5–15, from grades 0 to 8.

To participate, all the following conditions must be met:

  • The child must be medically fit and in good health.
  • Age between 5–15 years old (as of May 17, 2025).
  • A parent or legal guardian must:
    • take full responsibility for any incidents or damages during the event;
    • supervise the child throughout the entire race; 
    • not hold the organizers liable for any medical issues that may arise during or after the event.

  • Participants must have an ID document (ID card for adults or birth certificate for minors) for verification only. No documents will be kept by the organizers.

 

3.4.PARTICIPATION KIT

Each participant will receive:

  • official event t-shirt
  • finisher medal
  • race bib/number
  • raffle ticket

Kits can be collected only by an adult, who must fill in an online declaration of responsibility for the child’s participation.

 

3.5 AVAILABLE SPOTS

  • Maximum number of participants: 1,000

The CHAMPIONS OF THE SCHOOL race will be held by age groups and separated by gender. Each category runs a different distance:

  • Ages 5–6: 200 m
  • Ages 7–8: 300 m
  • Ages 9–10: 400 m
  • Ages 11–12: 600 m
  • Ages 13–15: 800 m



4.1. SPECIAL RULES

 

  • It is not permitted to register on behalf of others. Race bibs can only be picked up by the child’s parent or guardian.
  • All participants must wear the official t-shirt and bib during the race or face disqualification.
  • The bib must be clearly visible on the front.
  • No external help or refreshments (other than those provided by the organizers) are allowed during the race.
  • The person who registers the participant must complete an online responsibility declaration, confirming that the child is medically fit and can complete the course.



4.2. RACE GEAR & BIBS

T-shirts and bibs are provided by the organizers.



4.3. BAG STORAGE

Participants will receive a storage bag and stickers for labeling. Bags will be left in a secured area and can only be reclaimed based on the corresponding race bib.

⚠️ Do not leave valuables in the bags. Organizers are not responsible for lost or damaged items.



4.4. TIMING

There will be no official timing (no timing chips).

This is a non-competitive race aimed at promoting mass participation and running as a healthy lifestyle activity.



4.5. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

Medical assistance will be provided by the organizers through specialized partners. An ambulance will be located at the Start/Finish area.



4.6 LIABILITY & CONDUCT

Parents/guardians/coaches are fully responsible for the physical/medical condition of their children. The organizers and partners are not liable for:

  • loss/damage of personal belongings;
  • any injury, damage, or harm suffered during or after the event;
  • issues arising from technical faults of the registration platform;
    voluntary participation in the event and its consequences.

All participants must follow traffic laws. There may be vehicles, tourists, or animals on the course – participants must act accordingly. Any accidents resulting from breaking rules or traffic laws are the sole responsibility of the involved parties.

The event promotes respect for the environment – littering is prohibited outside designated hydration points.
All participants must behave in a civilized and fair-play manner.
Alcohol and drug use are strictly forbidden.

Organizers reserve the right to remove any person who endangers the safety of others or the event.

PParticipants will receive a raffle ticket in their kit, which they must place in the special box provided.

There will be no rankings or timing, so all participants can take part in the raffle with prizes.

By registering, parents/guardians/coaches grant the Organizer and its partners the right to use and reproduce any statements or images of the participants, for public communication and promotional purposes, in any media, for a period of up to 20 years from the date of the event.

They authorize use for promotional, advertising, or commercial purposes, including modifications, combinations with logos or slogans, and usage in both digital and print formats.

For minors, this consent is given provided their best interests are respected.

Organizers are strictly forbidden from using participant images or names in any pornographic, racist, xenophobic, or demeaning way.

Images may appear on the event website, including in members-only sections, and could be publicly visible, possibly identifying participants by name or bib number.

The Organizer reserves the right to change the route, aid stations, or any organizational detail at any time. The date or start time may also change without compensation to participants.

In cases of cancellation or interruption due to reasons beyond the Organizer’s control (such as administrative decisions, force majeure, strikes, emergencies, epidemics, war, etc.), the Organizer is not liable for any losses or damages.
